Business lookup: find a company's address, phone and hours

Business Lookup pulls the current listing for a company: where it is, how to reach it, when it is open and how it is rated. Use it to fill in missing company details, or to check that a location is still trading before you send someone there.

What it tells you

• Whether a listing was matched, and the business name that appears on it.
• Street address, phone number and website.
• The category the business is listed under, for example a coffee shop.
• Its rating and the number of reviews behind it.
• Whether the listing is operational, and whether the owner has claimed it.
• Opening hours by day, plus latitude and longitude for mapping.

What you need to provide

• Required: the business name and the city it operates in.
• Optional: a two-letter country code, which defaults to US.
• Optional: a listing URL. Send that and you can leave out the business name and city.

What it costs

10 credits per lookup. This one is success-based: you are charged 0 credits on a no-match. Live per-product costs are shown on the Billing page in your dashboard.

Good to know

• The listing basics come back together in one response, with the website, hours and coordinates alongside them.
• Results are point-in-time. Hours, phone numbers and open or closed status all change, so treat a stored result as stale rather than current.
• A no-match means no listing was found for that name and city, which is not the same as the business not existing. A different spelling of the name, or the city the business actually operates in, is worth a second try.
• If you already hold the listing URL, sending it goes straight to that listing instead of searching by name and city.
