Target account search: find companies by size, revenue and tech

Target Account Search returns a list of companies that match the criteria you set, such as headcount, revenue, location or the technology they use. Use it to build a target list from a description of your ideal customer, rather than starting from names you already have.

What it tells you

  • Whether the search found anything, how many companies came back on this page and the total number of matches behind your filters.
  • One row per company, with the firmographics already attached.
  • Company name and domain, so you can feed the list straight into the rest of your workflow.
  • The industry each company sits in, its headcount as a number and as a size band and its country.
  • Annual revenue, formatted for reading.

What you need to provide

No single input is required. Combine the filters that describe the companies you want:

  • Free-text keywords describing the business, for example "logistics software".
  • Headquarters locations and headcount bands.
  • Technologies the company uses.
  • A minimum and maximum annual revenue in US dollars, and a page number to move past the first page of results.

What it costs

75 credits per search. One search returns up to 100 companies, so the cost is per search and not per company returned. Live per-product costs are shown on the Billing page in your dashboard.

How to run it

  • In the dashboard: Target Account Search
  • From your code: POST /v1/account-search, then see the Developer Hub at app.1lookup.io/developer-hub.

Good to know

  • A single search caps at 100 companies. If your filters match more than that, use the page number to pull the next set, and each page is its own search at the same price.
  • Tighten your filters before paging deeply, rather than working through a long list of loose matches.
  • Rows already carry firmographics. For the fuller picture on one company, including industry codes and growth signals, run Company Firmographics on its domain.
  • Results are point-in-time. Headcount, revenue and technology in use all change, so a list is a snapshot of the day you pulled it.
