Ad library lookup: see what ads a company is running

Look up the ads a company currently has in flight, drawn from the public ad libraries. Use it for competitor research, to check what a partner is promoting or to see how a brand words its offers.

What it tells you

  • Whether the advertiser has ads running right now.
  • How many ads came back in this lookup, and how many are available in total.
  • The advertiser name attached to each ad.
  • The ad text or creative copy for each one.
  • Whether each ad is still active.
  • The date each ad started running.

What you need to provide

  • The advertiser's name or domain, or a keyword to search the ad library for. Provide one of the two.
  • Optionally, the platform to search: Meta (facebook), TikTok, LinkedIn or Google. It searches the Meta library if you do not pick one.

What it costs

10 credits per lookup. This one is success-based: you are charged 0 credits when no ads are found. Live per-product costs are shown on the Billing page in your dashboard.

How to run it

  • In the dashboard: Ad Library Lookup
  • From your code: POST /v1/ad-library-lookup, then see the Developer Hub at app.1lookup.io/developer-hub.

Good to know

  • Results are point-in-time. Advertisers start and stop ads, so a repeat lookup can return a different set.
  • A single lookup returns a page of ads, not every ad the advertiser has. The result tells you the total available so you know how much you are seeing.
  • One platform per lookup. To compare a brand across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google, run it once per platform.
  • Some fields can come back empty, including the link to an individual ad.
  • Only advertising that the public ad libraries expose is returned. If a company is not in a library, the lookup comes back with no ads and no charge.
