LinkedIn profile lookup: roles, education and skills from a URL

LinkedIn Profile Lookup takes a public LinkedIn profile URL and returns what is on that profile in structured form. Use it to check who someone is before a call, or to keep a contact record current with the roles listed on their profile.

What it tells you

• Whether a public profile was found, and the person's name.
• Their headline, current job title, current employer and location.
• Connection and follower counts.
• Their full role history: each title, the company, the date range, how long they held it and which role is current.
• Total years of experience, plus the "about" text from the profile.
• Education history (school, degree, years) and the skills listed on the profile.

What you need to provide

One input: a public LinkedIn profile URL, in the form https://www.linkedin.com/in/… . A bare vanity username works too.

What it costs

10 credits per lookup. This one is success-based: you are charged 0 credits when no public profile is found. Live per-product costs are shown on the Billing page in your dashboard.

Good to know

• Public, logged-out profile data only. If a detail is not visible to someone browsing the profile without signing in, it is not in the response.
• Repeat lookups on the same profile inside the 7-day cache window are served from cache.
• Results are point-in-time. What comes back is what the profile said when it was fetched, and profiles are self-reported and get edited, so treat titles and dates as the person's own claim rather than a verified fact.
• This returns personal data about an identifiable person. Use it for legitimate business purposes only.
• If you need a work email address rather than profile detail, pass the same LinkedIn URL to LinkedIn Email Finder, or to B2B Contact Append when you also want title and seniority.
